"The essence of IP strategy in business through the essence of successful open innovation"
Many universities, companies, and organisations have come together under the slogan of open innovation, but we have yet to hear of any groundbreaking businesses being born.
On the other hand, general trading companies that own nothing themselves have no choice but to engage in open innovation when creating a business, and as a result have come to make profits of nearly 1 trillion yen.
This seminar will explore the secret to success in open innovation and the essence of intellectual property strategies for building successful businesses, while clearing up the misconception that intellectual property strategies in business are strategies based on intellectual property rights such as patents.

Norishige Hayakawa
CEO, Hagaminomori Corporation
"IP Strategies for Startups
- What can we see by analysing patent information?"
Patent rights are acquired at great expense in terms of people, materials, money, and time, and acquiring a patent can be said to be a business decision for a company.
By analyzing the patents of competitors, it is possible to understand their strategies and business direction.
In this webinar, we will introduce specific examples of patent analysis using IP landscapes and AI in an easy-to-understand manner for startups.
